Manufacturing 2026: DigitMak and opportunities for the digital transformation of manufacturing companies
The European Digital Innovation Hub DigitMak, in partnership with the Macedonian Association of the Metal and Electrical Industries (MAMEI) and the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia (ECNM), is co-organising the annual industrial conference “Manufacturing 2026: Transformation Towards Innovation,” which will take place on 30 October 2026 at T-Arena (Boris Trajkovski Sports Centre) in Skopje, as part of the international trade fair for engineering, technology, energy and innovation, ENERGO – TECHNOMA 2026.

The conference will focus on current challenges and opportunities in the manufacturing industry, including digitalisation, automation, the application of artificial intelligence, investment in new technologies, and the development of skills required for modern manufacturing.
Particular emphasis will be placed on opportunities to increase exports and strengthen competitiveness in international markets, as well as on the application of the Industry 4.0 concept in manufacturing processes. As part of the programme, DigitMak and the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia will lead the sessions dedicated to these topics, with a focus on opportunities for cooperation with regional European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs).
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the “Test Before Invest” approach, which enables companies to test technologies before making investment decisions, as well as the Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA), which helps companies identify their needs and opportunities for further digital transformation.
The conference will bring together representatives of manufacturing companies, institutions, the business community, and experts from North Macedonia and abroad to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience on manufacturing modernisation, innovation development, and the creation of new opportunities for cooperation. This year’s edition builds on the “Manufacturing 2025 – From Nearshoring to Future Manufacturing Models” conference, placing the transition towards more innovative, efficient, and competitive manufacturing models at the forefront.
